Vanquish is an action that allows you to defeat characters.
Official Rules[]
- Defeat one character at any location in your Domain by using one or more Allies that are in that same location.
- Each character has a Strength in the lower-left corner, which may be modified by other cards in play.
- Your Ally or Allies must have a Strength equal to or higher than the character you choose to vanquish.
- Multiple Allies may be used by adding their Strengths together.
- After using this action, both the Allies you used in the vanquish action and the character you are vanquishing are placed face up in their respective discard piles.
- Allies that are discarded as the result of being used as part of a Vanquish action are considered to be defeated.
FAQ[]
- If multiple characters are at a location, you may choose which Hero to defeat.
- EXCEPTION: Protector Heroes at the same location as other Heroes must be defeated first (See Protector for details).
- If a Hero's Strength is reduced to 0 by other card Abilities, you must still use a Vanquish Action or card Ability to defeat the Hero.
- If you use a Vanquish Action to defeat a hero with 0 Strength, no Allies need to be discarded.
- A 0 Strength Ally may NOT be used in a Vanquish action.
- A Hero is considered defeated if discarded by a Vanquish action.
